Mother's Day Weekend
Ellie, Deb, and I went to Virginia Beach for Mother's Day weekend to get away and visit family. We had a great weekend... visiting with Nana, Pop-Pop, Bob (Bob-bob), Julie (Ju-ju), Jenna (Nena), and Rachel (Chel)... at the beach... and at the aquarium and marine science center.Story time with our storyteller Bob-bob and all of the girls on Friday night.
Ellie, Rachel, and Jenna pause for just a second for a group photo.
Ellie says, "No photos please, I am spending time with my great-grandad, Pop-pop!"
Satruday morning Ellie, Deb, and I went to the beach and stopped for a visit at the Wildfoul Museum on the boardwalk. Ellie loves birds!!
Grandma and Ellie pause for a photo with the fishies!
Mama and Ellie in front of King Neptune on the boardwalk. We must have walked for at least three miles on the boardwalk, but what a fabulous day we had!! What is it about a day with no plans, they are always the best!!
MMMmmm... Dairy Queen soft serve ice cream with sprinkles at the beach... can life really get any better??
...Yes it can!!! Toes in the sand with sticky fingers from my ice cream... Heaven!!!
I must have missed a sprinkle!
Mama and Ellie looking at the waves and debating... is it really worth it getting our pants wet just to get my toes in the water?
Answer... YES IT IS!!!
Deb and Ellie brushing Nana's adopted kitty, Sassy. Nice kitty!!
Ellie and the flowers that Deb and I got at lunch at Abbey Roads Bar and Grill.
Ellie and Deb looking at the fishies at the restauraunt... the first of many fishies she will see on Sunday!!
Jumping up and down on the curb outside of the restauraunt.
Ellie at the aquarium by the sharks, you probably can't see them but they are there!
Look Ellie, can you see the rays? It is a touching tank but Ellie stayed in the stroller for this visit!
"Bye, bye fishies!!"
"Buirds Mama, buirds" There was a neat exhibit of penguins there to see also... what a bonus!!
Ellie and a big snake at the Marine Museum. I think that she is smiling because a)she doesn't know what a snake is. b)it isn't real. Or c) all of the above!!
"Horray Jenna, we are #1!!!"
Mmmm, more ice cream, it is almost as good as boogers!!
Smile... Nana, Pop-pop, Ellie, Bobby, and Deb on Mother's Day.
All of the girls... Rachel, Ellie, Jenna, MB, Julie, Nana, and Deb on Mother's Day on the front steps.
Our newest musician is being taught the ropes.
Watch out Motzart, here comes Ellie!
Lessons from the best!
Pop-pop, Nana, and Ellie right before nite-nite time.
Yes, it is what you think it is... half naked grocery shopping, and yes, I somtimes wish I could do the same thing! Without the stares, of course!
I spy with my little eye...
Come on Pop-pop, lets play. I mean, I am leaving soon!
See even Nana will play!!
