Ellie's Party Dress
On Sunday Ellie had a baby shower to go to for school. We got all dressed up and walked over and even got to see the ducks on the way. She even got to wear her Easter dress finally and she looked stunning all dressed up in it!! What a diva! Ellie with one of her favorite teachers from school, Miss Ellen.
Ellie in the front yard, there are so many places to go, where to start?
Chillin' on the front porch. What more could she need... shades, bobi, and water!
"Hey, no photos without my agent's approval!"

"Look, ducks! Quack, quack!"

Slumber Party
Ellie, Schatzie, and I went up to Mike and Jess's house to spend the night with Aunt Donna and Grandma Deb whild they doggie-sat Bella. Mike and Jess were up in D.C. with her parents to see her sister.
Here are Schatzie and Ellie in the back seat on the ride over to Mike & Jess' house for a girls night.
The girls are rock, rock, rocking on the rocker on the back porch.
A good place to wind down before bed, stories and wine/milk are a sure way to relax!!
There is nothing better than a little cuddle time before bed with a clean and stink-free baby!
The hairy girls had a blast running around and playing!! I know that they wore each other out, actually, Schatzie is passed out on the floor next to me as I type right now!!
Circus Day
Ellie and I went to the circus on Saturday afternoon. It was a one ring circus at a nearby church and it couldn't have been a better day for it!! Outside there were camels and ponys, she was really excited to see them, maybe next year we can do a pony ride once she gets a little bigger!

She had a blast under the big top!! She sat still and took in everything but every once in a while some of the noises startled her but aside from that she was an angel.
This guy was awesome, he balanced a sword with a tray of glasses on top on the tip of a dagger that he was holding in his mouth and then climbed up a ladder. It was amazing!!
We got to see the clowns and they were really funny. Ellie didn't seem to be scared of them (but of course the didn't get up in her face either).
Her favorite part of the whole circus was the dogs. She got so excited when they came out and did all of their tricks and she even cried when they were done.
There were trampoline jumpers, an acrobat, a contortionist, and a dare devil. We did have a great time!!

The Fairy Princess and the Puddle QueenWell, here she is, the fairy princess, Ellie. She s all decked all out in her princess best from her dancer's leotard to her Easter bonnet and fairy wand.
I swear she looks like she is in a dance recital but really she is debating whether or not she should take off her tutu again...
...just like now!!
It is the Puddle Queen... her first experience in a puddle was a success! I think that she must hate it just by the look on her face, don't you think!?!
Well, it looks like we found one of the good things about a rainy day!! And even though my mood has reflected the this day lately, just one look at that face can brighten even the darkest of days. Ellie is the sunshine that I need every day!

Hoppy Easter, Ellie
Well, Easter weekend got a little switched around on us this year due to circumstance outside of my control, but I would like to think that we made the best out of it that we could. Easter morning once coffee was being drank by Meme and Papoo, we found what the Easter Bunny had broucht Ellie... a whole basket of goodies. Ellie already started to dig into it!
There were fruit snacks, a chocolate bunny, Peeps, Seasame Street finger puppets, a bubble bucket, and dress-up clothes... So many things to get into!!
"So this is what they call a Peep...." I thing that the jury is still out on that one!
Schatzie, here is some sugar for you on Easter!!
So many goodies and so little time!
The egg hunt... there were so many things to find, treats, money, and books. This Easter Bunny must really like Ellie!
She did really well. Once I handed her the basket she was off!! There wasn't much to explain to her.

Don't worry, Ellie's sidekick Schatzie was a big help. She didn't sniff out the money eggs but she definatly found the ones with the treats!!
After the hunt, Ellie and I pose for a photo. This year we didn't make it to church (I know that God understands) or into our Easter dressed, it was a little chilly! Next year will be better!!
And here she is... Princess Ellie, wired and ready for more sugar!!

Deanna' s Welcoming Shower

The happy new family Deanna (checking out her new viewfinder) and Dawn and Eric digging into more loot!
Ellie snuggling up with my boss, Bill.
Eric holding Ellie up so that she and Deanna can play doodlebugs on the chalkboard.

Ellie and Deanna sharing love-love (Deanna even gave Ellie a little extra sugar on the cheek) at the end of the shower. I am sure that Ellie is telling Deanna that these lab mommies are a pretty wierd group but all in all we are good gals!!

If angels could speak...
Well Ellie is working really hard on all of her words, every day there are new ones for me to figure out. Since she has had her tubes put in her language has really taken off!! The other morning we were eating breakfast, a typical Monday morning, and I was at the kitchen counter putting my lunch together while she was working on her juice and oatmeal. Normally she will babble to her self or tell Schatzie to "get down", but this morning she said, "Mama, luboo." I thought that she said "thank you" which is very common around our house these days. I said, "your welcome" and she just looked at me and said again, "luboo". Once I really listened to her I realized that she said, "Mama, I love you". So we repeated it back and forth to each other a few times until I was convinced. That was an amazing gift that she gave me. Angels can speak, you just need to listen. Mine told me she loved me during a time I really need to hear it!!

And of course to bring it back to real life she has also started to pick her nose. That is ok, we are working on using tissues but she is my nose-pickin' angel.
